Project SPARK Waffle Brunch Benefit
Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM (CDT)
Join Project SPARK for its first fundraising event of the year -- an afternoon of delicious waffles and bottomless mimosas to support the development of sustainable business models that work to overcome global problems! The proceeds from this year's brunch will be donated to Mayan Families, a non‐profit organization that provides assistance to the indigenous and impoverished people of Guatemala.
There will be an unlimited waffle bar with all sorts of delicious toppings (fresh fruit, flavored syrups, whipped cream and more!) as well as bottomless mimosas. The event will feature a raffle, trivia fun and a chance to meet other young professionals in the Chicago area. There won't be a better way to start your day while supporting a great cause!
Unlimited waffle bar: $20
Unlimited waffle bar and bottomless mimosas: $30
The ticket to this event along with any donations is tax deductible. Please save the receipt for your tax records.
Project SPARK is a nationwide philanthropic 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that desires to elevate the lives of the poor by supporting sustainable programs that deliver affordable critical goods and services. It is committed to a disciplined process in selecting and managing its charitable investments. As a team of professionals who are concerned with global problems such as poverty, healthcare and education, we work to raise money for a variety of sustainable projects globally, not limiting ourselves to any continent or region. We look at projects and programs which could be self-sustaining and expanded after our initial donation, thereby leading to a long-term impact independent of ongoing funding. To empower volunteers, we organize trips to project sites, where volunteers can observe and help with an initiative, using their own professional skill set. Join us, and ignite the SPARK for solutions that endure. Learn more about Project SPARK at www.projspark.org
